Because many Asians have a lower nose bridge, this causes a lack of folding on the eye lids.  As a result, the innermost part of the eye to the nose is left with a small gap that is generally undesirable.  With a canthoplasty surgery, the “Mongolian fold” can either be reduced or removed all together.  The result will be larger, fuller eyes.
