Ideally, a  nose should have a triangular base gradually getting thinner, leading to a nice high nose bridge- without a bump.  This height should be high enough to have definition on a frontal view.

With some patients there isn’t enough of a base to have a high enough nose bridge.  In such cases a dorsal augmentation is necessary which will give more of a solid profile to the nose.  Implants used are either artificial prosthesis or grafted tissue, to make a firm base that will provide the perfect balance you have always dreamt of.
